INTRODUCTION

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), which is now known as the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST [ NEET (UG) – 2025] will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday, which is Pen and Paper based in 13 languages, as a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India, as per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and relevant Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 1997, as amended from time to time. The languages in which the NEET (UG) 2022 would be conducted are : English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

NEET 2025 Application Form

Read the below instructions carefully before filling out the NEET UG Application Form 2025:


Candidates can apply for NEET 2025 through online mode only. NEET 2025 Registration commenced on 07th February 2025. Mobile Number & Email ID will be verified during the filling of application form. Only one application form should be submitted by a candidate. Fill in all the details in the application form carefully to avoid rejection. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format. Confirmation page will be generated after the successful payment of application fee. Students must fill up their application form before the last date, i.e. 07th March 2025.

Application Fee:

The application fee can be submitted via online mode through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI etc. Processing fees & GST are also chargeable to candidates. For Outside India, the application fee is Rs.9500/-. The application fee for various categories is given below: Category Application Fee (In India) General Rs. 1700/- General-EWS, OBC NCL Rs. 1600/- SC, ST, PwBD, Third Gender Rs. 1000/-

Documents Required to Upload in NEET Application:

Steps to Apply For NEET 2025

Candidates can follow below given steps to fill out the NEET 2025 application form:

  1. Step 1: Visit the NEET 2025 website and click on “NEET(UG)-2025 Registration and Online Application Form” button.
  2. Step 2: Enter the registration details and generate ID & password.
  3. Step 3: Fill personal, Aadhaar, qualification, exam centers, and communication details.
  4. Step 4: Upload the required documents.
  5. Step 5: Verify your Email ID & Phone Number.
  6. Step 6: Pay the application fee via online mode.
  7. Step 7: Generate & Print the confirmation page.

NEET 2025 Application Correction

NTA will also provide the opportunity to make correction in the NEET UG application form. Candidates will be able to edit their filled application details through login during the correction period. NEET 2025 application correction window will be started from 09th to 11th March 2025.

Any correction in photograph and signature will be intimated through Email/SMS & candidate login. Changes in Exam center city & medium of question paper will not be entertained. Candidates make sure to correct their details during the correction window after this no opportunity will be provided.

NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must read below given points carefully to ensure their eligibility:

Nationality: Indian National, NRI, OCI, PIO & Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply. UTs of J&K & Ladakh candidates can apply under 15% All India Quota. Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have qualified for the 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in the year 2025 are also eligible to apply. Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 17 years at the time of admission or before 31st December 2025. There is no upper age limit to apply for NEET. Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English are mandatory in 12th class.

Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks are required taken together in PCB subjects. 10% relaxation in marks will be given to SC/ST & OBC-NCL categories.

NEET 2025 Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for NEET exam must acquaint themselves with the NEET exam pattern given below:

Mode: It will be organized through offline (pen & paper based) mode. Type of Questions: MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) will be asked in the exam. Duration: The exam duration will be three hours (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM). For PwBD candidates, one hour will be provided extra to complete the exam. Section: There will be only one section containing a total 180 questions. All are compulsory to answer. From the year 2025, Section B has been removed from the paper. Subjects: The question paper will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology subjects.

Medium: The exam will be organized in total of 13 languages, i.e. English, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Assamese, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, Gujarati, Urdu, Malyalam, Punjabi & kannada. Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for each correct answer and -1 mark will be allotted for each incorrect answer. No marks will be given for unanswered & unattempted questions.

NEET 2025 Syllabus

The syllabus is for 11th and 12th class level. The NMC (National Medical Commission) of India has notified NEET Syllabus that candidate needs to prepare for the examination. Topics are taken from Chemistry, Physics & Biology subjects. Some of the topics are mentioned below:

Class 11th Topics: Physics – Physical World & Measurement, Laws of Motion, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Properties of Bulk Matter, Oscillations & Waves, etc. Chemistry – Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Thermodynamics, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen etc. Biology – Diversity in Living World, Cell Structure and Function, Human Physiology, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, etc.

Class 12th Topics: Physics – Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Optics, Atoms & Nuclei, etc. Chemistry – Solutions, Solid State, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, Biomolecules, Polymers, etc. Biology – Genetics and Evolution, Reproduction, Biotechnology and Its Applications, Ecology & Environment, etc.

NEET 2025 Preparation Tips

Good & Strategic preparation plan is the key to cracking NEET exam. Below we have given some NEET preparation tips that can help candidates qualify exam:

To begin preparation for NEET, firstly candidates should understand the exam pattern & syllabus carefully.

Consider your strengths & weaknesses and make a customized study plan. Practice mock tests & previous year’s question papers on a regular basis. Divide your time evenly for all the subjects of syllabus and try to allocate more time for the toughest one.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle and make sure to have quality sleep of 6 to 8 hours daily. Take help of your Teachers or Tutors to clarify any doubts in your studies.

NEET 2025 Exam Centres

NEET 2025 Admit Card

NEET UG Admit Card 2025 will be available by 01st May 2025. It is released two or three days before the examination day. Admit card will not be sent by post or any other offline mode. If the candidates are not able to download the admit card from the website, they can reach the helpline during the working hours or write an Email to NTA.

In case of any correction in the NEET 2025 hall ticket, candidates should contact the helpline between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Such candidates should appear for the exam with their downloaded admit card at the exam centre. However, NTA will make correction in records later

NEET 2025 Answer Key

Candidates will be able to view their NEET 2025 Response Sheet & answer key through online mode. NEET answer key 2025 will be released in the month of May 2025. Answer key will be published in two parts, i.e. Provisional & Final Key.

In case of any doubt in the provisional answer key, candidates can submit their challenges through the website. Candidates will have to pay Rs.200/- for each question. A panel of subject experts will review the challenges and publish the final answer key. The objection window will be opened in May 2025.

NEET 2025 Result

NEET Result 2025 or Score Card will be displayed on the website of NEET. It will be available through online mode only. NEET 2025 Score Card will be issued on 14th June 2025. There will be no provision for rechecking or re-evaluation of the answer sheets.

Candidates will have to enter their login details to check the result. The result will be valid for admission for the current year session. Candidates should keep the result or scorecard for further admission usage.

NEET 2025 Merit List

NTA will release the NEET UG Merit List 2025 on the basis of marks scored in the entrance exam. Merit List will be released through online mode along with results.

In case of any tie between two or more candidates, the inter-se-merit criteria will be applied for determination of rank. From the year 2024, candidate’s age has been removed from the criteria. The inter-se-merit criteria will be as follows:

Candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by, Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test, followed by, Candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics in the Test, followed by, Draw lots by using the computer or IT with no human intervention

NEET 2025 Counselling

NEET UG Counselling 2025 will be administrated by MCC (Medical Council Committee). Counselling process will be conducted through online mode only. Candidates will be invited for counselling as per the All India Merit List. It will be started in the month of July 2025.

NEET Counselling procedure will comprise various steps like registration, filling & locking of choices, seat allotment, document verification & reporting to allotted colleges. It will be necessary to visit the allotted college and complete the admission formalities. Counselling will be conducted in various rounds depending on the availability of vacant seats.
